This Small Jumbo (SJ) is based on the body shape of the Gibson J-185 model from the 1950s.

SJ guitars feature: Grade A curly maple back and sides, select spruce top with prewar scalloped bracing, grained ivoroid binding, black/white strip purfling, black/white and wood nitrate strip rosette. Tortoise style pickguard. Gloss finished maple neck with double bound ebony fingerboard, double bound Collings offset peghead, ebony bridge, modern diamond style inlaid fingerboard and peghead, mother-of-pearl Collings logo, and gold Schaller mini-tuners.
