Having received the fully torrefied treatment on its Sitka spruce top, flamed maple back and sides, and matching flamed maple neck, this custom C10 is strikingly light in the weight department while providing a powerful fundamental clarity. Not only is the directness for which maple is known drawn out even further through the torrefaction process but its lightweight resonance gives the player a feel of broken-in openness not often found in new instruments.
