001 TThe new Traditional Series variations of our classic 12-fret 00 take a vintage-inspired approach to voicing and construction designed to produce a strong fundamental response and open feel, with rounder highs and less overtone complexity compared to the signature Collings sound. The combination of an open slotted peghead, shorter 24 7/8" scale length, and pyramid bridge paired with our ultra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish and newly redesigned neck support make for a woody and articulate voice that exemplifies everything we love about the T-Series. With a longer upper bout than its 14-fret counterpart, the 00 offers rich, balanced tone with excellent note separation, making it a fine choice for fingerstyle guitarists, singer-songwriters, or anyone else looking for a balance of comfort, volume, and responsiveness.
Each T-Series guitar features hand-selected tone woods that are voiced to facilitate the warm rounded highs and present low mids that characterize the tonality our Traditional Series.
Featuring an amber lacquer toner with unique wood purflings, rosettes and bridge pins, the Traditional series have classic appointments to match their distinctive tone.
Ultra Thin Finish
The T-Series Nitrocellulose lacquer finish is sanded to an even thinner thickness than our standard instruments, allowing the natural qualities of the wood to shine.
Redesigned Neck Support
We've reengineered the internal neck support of our T-Series models for 2020 to centralize the mass of the neck, resulting in an adjustable truss rod design that offers the benefits of a T-bar to further enhance the warm, fundamental midrange response and open feel that are hallmarks of our Traditional Series.
Our 12-fret 00 T models feature a vintage-inspired modified V neck profile with a 1 3/4” nut width and 2 5/16” spacing at the bridge, offering comfort and versatility for a variety of playing styles.
Our slotted headstock design is reinforced by a diamond volute for an elegant look that showcases our precise workmanship.
A short 24 7/8 inch scale creates a warm note attack and lower tension string feel that lends itself well to a variety of playing styles.
