City Limits JazzThin, light, and exquisite, the City Limits Jazz commands attention. Built in limited numbers with a fully hollow Honduran mahogany body, carved European spruce top, and modern stylings, the CL Jazz is a lightweight and ultra-responsive jazz guitar that delivers detailed tone and rich harmonic complexity. Sleek body contours combined with multiple black/white purflings, elegant bound S-holes, and choice of either our signature Broken Glass or Parallegram inlays make the CL Jazz one of our most elaborately appointed instruments.
The CL Jazz is hand carved of all solid woods. A European spruce top is paired with a Honduran mahogany back and sides for exceptional presence and warm note articulation.
Sweet and warm, with great string definition and a clear top end,the Johnny Smith has a full acoustic quality, with the fatness and balance of a humbucker.
A combination of exacting PLEK machine leveling and hand fret dressing ensures consistently excellent playability and a silky fret feel.
By meticulously hand-sanding between coats, our nitrocellulose lacquer finishes measure between .005 and .007 thousandths in final thickness, maximizing acoustical response while providing excellent protection.
Handmade Ebony Hardware
We hand make each our ebony compensated bridges, tailpieces, and pickguards to perfectly match the instrument.
The CL Jazz features a fully bound body and neck with black and white top purfling. Dual Parallelogram inlays or our art deco inspired Broken Glass inlays can be designated for the fingerboard and peghead.
The CL Jazz can be finished in a variety of sunbursts that showcase the carved European spruce of the top, or our popular Merlot and Blacktop finishes are available for this top of the line model.
